Activities in the field of preventing human trafficking (HT):
- organizing information sessions in schools and universities to raise awareness about human trafficking;
- training students to take action against HT and involving them in different prevention activities (street actions, developing posters, disseminating flyers etc.);
- organizing prevention campaigns, street actions to raise awareness on HT by distributing flyers and informing persons about this topic;
- disseminating the informational materials created for specialists at different events and at different institutions (e.g. round table meetings, meetings in the church, NGO’s, county employment agency, social department of mayor’s office in different locations from Bihor county, different departments of police inspectorate, schools);
- organizing workshops, seminars and round table meetings targeting representatives of churches, NGOs, trade unions, institutes of education and various state institutions that have an active role in preventing and combating HT in order to increase their capacity to address this phenomenon;
- organizing network meetings with our partners and/or attending meetings organized by our partners for exchange of experience and knowledge. Lampas has developed a good cooperation with institutions and organizations active in preventing and combating HT (opinion leaders, police, schools, church, NGOs, social department, child protection). The cooperation with partners for exchange of experience and knowledge will be strengthened through network meetings;
- organizing trainings for specialists from different fields. Persons with multiplier effect (educational counsellors, school psychologists, teachers, specialists from social departments, police officers, etc.) are trained in the field of preventing HT;
- organizing field visits to our partners from abroad. Lampas will develop cooperation with organizations from abroad active in preventing and combating HT and field visits will be organized to these organizations for exchange of experience and shared development. In the same time, Lampas could become a liaison between national and international organizations.
- Project staff attending trainings, team meetings developing new skills in project management, communication in the field of preventing HT. The continuous training is necessary in order to competently implement the project, to avoid the burn out of the team members and to provide professional services in the community.
